Thank you for your interest in custom furniture from Push Hard Lumber. We pride ourselves on making beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces, often out of irreplaceable lumber, that will be in your family for many generations.

Payment Terms

All of our custom jobs are made to order. Once we decide upon, mill and begin to dry the wood for your project in our kiln, we require a deposit of 50% of the price of the piece. The remaining 50% is due within one week of completion. If you live locally, we invite you to come out to the shop and approve the final piece before you pay. If you live far away, we invite you to do the same, however, if that is not possible, we will send you photos of your completed piece before expecting final payment. Your complete satisfaction is our goal. Please let us know immediately if we have not surpassed your expectations. Beyond one week, all unpaid custom furniture will incur a daily 3% charge.


Since we are a small, family run business, we do not have large warehouses in which to store finished work. Storing furniture on our premises prevents us from starting projects for other folks. Together, we will agree upon a timeline for your project. We ask that you pick up or have your piece delivered according to that timeline. We recognize that sometimes plans change. While we strive to be flexible, we ask that you arrange to remove your piece from the premises within one week of completion. Any furniture stored beyond one week will incur a daily storage fee of $25 per day.


All shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We are happy to deliver locally. Since our delivery and packaging prices are determined by size, weight and other considerations, all deliveries are priced individually. Please feel free to inquire about this service. Not all of our customers are local. For an additional cost, we are happy to assist in packaging and crating your piece so that it may travel safely to its final destination. It is helpful for us to know in advance, if you plan to ship your item(s).

We do not accept returns on custom furniture. That said, we want you to be pleased with your item. The majority of our orders come from word of mouth recommendations. Your complete satisfaction is important to us on many levels. Please let us know if you are not 100% satisfied. We are committed to working with you to resolve any issues.
